The Best:
I was careful in the shower again and kind to people who shared my practice this morning. I approached my teacher after class to ask for advice, which is hard for me. It might not have been selfless, but it was brave and shows I'm taking care of myself.
The Worst:
I thought nasty thoughts when I saw a police officer in a speed trap on the way to class this morning.

This book was my inspiration for beginning this blog. It's an excellent reference for a student new to yoga with excerpts from the Yoga Sutra as well as explanations and applications to modern life. The teaching is presented through the story of a young yogini who is transporting the Yoga Sutra to Tibet, which makes it an easy read. Reading it has been a profound experience for me.
I saw Blair Lewis speak recently, and his ideas about a revolution towards consciously choosing happiness were profound. I've not gotten the book yet, but I hope to soon. I'm looking forward to learning more about his approach to uncovering the quiet place that's inside all of us.
