The Best:
I helped my students out with their portfolios this morning, and I hope it was helpful to them.
The Worst:
We had to pretend to be having a real class even though it was just a review for the portfolio when my boss walked in to observe my class unannounced. Yuck! I feel bad about myself for pretending.

This book was my inspiration for beginning this blog. It's an excellent reference for a student new to yoga with excerpts from the Yoga Sutra as well as explanations and applications to modern life. The teaching is presented through the story of a young yogini who is transporting the Yoga Sutra to Tibet, which makes it an easy read. Reading it has been a profound experience for me.
I saw Blair Lewis speak recently, and his ideas about a revolution towards consciously choosing happiness were profound. I've not gotten the book yet, but I hope to soon. I'm looking forward to learning more about his approach to uncovering the quiet place that's inside all of us.
