I got a lot of work done today, and I was really focused in spite of being distracted by this morning's drama with my husband.
Worst:
I called my husband's aunt, just as I knew I would. I also told people that she called me. I justified saying that she called me because she'd left me a message on my phone that I'd not gotten, so I was calling her back in some ways...however, I didn't know she'd called me when I called her, so it really was just a big lie.

This book was my inspiration for beginning this blog. It's an excellent reference for a student new to yoga with excerpts from the Yoga Sutra as well as explanations and applications to modern life. The teaching is presented through the story of a young yogini who is transporting the Yoga Sutra to Tibet, which makes it an easy read. Reading it has been a profound experience for me.
I saw Blair Lewis speak recently, and his ideas about a revolution towards consciously choosing happiness were profound. I've not gotten the book yet, but I hope to soon. I'm looking forward to learning more about his approach to uncovering the quiet place that's inside all of us.
